The acceptor-catalytic copolyesterification of terephthalic dianhydride dic
hloride with diols in the presence of porous polymer matrices based on hype
rcrosslinked polystyrene was studied. The microstructure of the produced co
polymers was Found to be controlled by the pore size and sorption-desorptio
n behavior of a matrix, as well as by differences in the activity of diols
and in the van der Waals volumes of their molecules.
