Poly(acrylamide) was synthesized through the radical polymerization reactio
n in aqueous solution in the presence of a sacharide, assisted by a continu
ous magnetic field of 0.25 T. The study was concentrated on the evaluation
of the magnetic effects on the development of the polymerization process co
mpared with the classic conditions. The viscometric data in dilute solution
are correlated with the polymer chain conformation, in connection with the
