Abstract
Dynameniscus carinatus, originally described one hundred years ago from a s ingle female from deep water off Georgia, U.S.A., is redescribed, based on an additional male and two females, all from the Caribbean. The genus is re defined, and its affinities briefly discussed. Its subfamilial placement re mains uncertain, however, given a number of unusual features in the mouthpa rts, pleopods, and uropods.
