Wf. Qiu et al., The gas sensitivity of a substituted metallophthalocyanine, tetra-iso-propoxyphthalocyaninato copper (II), SENS ACTU-B, 75(1-2), 2001, pp. 62-66
A gas sensor based on tetra-iso-propoxyphthalocyaninato copper (II) (i-Pro-
CuPc) was fabricated by spin coating, and its gas sensitivities were measur
ed in different concentration of NO2 atmosphere. The metallophthalocyanine
possesses not only good solubility in common organic solvents, but also goo
d film forming ability. The results showed ideal gas sensitivity at 65 degr
eesC and a good linear relationship existed between the resistance of i-Pro
-CuPe gas sensor and the concentration of NO2. Temperature had significant
influences both on the recovery and cyclic properties of the gas sensor and
on its conductivity. The In(conductivity) varied linearly with 1000/T, fro
m this linear relationship, the values of activation energy and ao of i-Pro
-CuPc were calculated to be about 0.72 eV and 3.87 x 10(-6) Omega (-1) cm(-
1dd) respectively. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
