Abstract
Two kinds of novel nitroalkene reductases were isolated from baker's yeast. Reduction of a trisubstituted nitroalkene by these reductases afforded the corresponding nitroalkane with excellent enantioselectivity, moderate dias tereoselectivity, and in good yield.
