Laser forming of aluminium alloys regarding the mechanical properties and microstructure

Laser forming is a new, innovative forming technology. used for rapid proto typing as well as for small series production. Many different materials can be formed using this forming technique, but laser forming of aluminium all oys seems to be of special interest in the age of lightweight constructions . Regarding the mechanical properties of precipitation hardenable aluminium alloys further investigations have to be done.
