Abstract
How fast does energy transfer along a conjugated polymer chain, and how fas t between chains? A semiconducting polymer/mesoporous silica composite, whi ch provides just enough space for one polymer chain per pore, provides the answer through investigations of the polymer's luminescence anisotropy. T.- Q. Nguyen received second prize for this work in the Advanced Materials Inn ovation Competition at the ICSM 2000 (see Adv. Mater 2000, 12, 1563 for det ails).
