Abstract
It was found that cerium(IV) reacted with surfactant Tween 20 in acidic med ium to generate green chemiluminescence. The maximum emission wavelength wa s about 478 nm. The enhancement and inhibition of the CL reaction by some p olyphenols and anilines was studied and the possibility of analytical appli cation was explored.
