Abstract
A kinetic model was developed for the enantioselective hydrogenation of 1-p henyl-1,2-propanedione based on parallel racemic and enantioselective route s in the presence of cinchonidine. The Langmuir-Hinshelwood type of competi tive adsorption approach was used in the model, which was combined with a b atch reactor model. The proposed model could sufficiently describe the obse rved kinetic results. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
