Abstract
The present review focuses on evolving concepts in the pathogenesis and man agement of deep and lobar intracerebral hemorrhage subtypes, with particula r focus on the relationship between lobar intracerebral hemorrhage, apolipo protein E subtypes and cerebral amyloid angiopathy; deep intracerebral hemo rrhage and the potential interaction between hypertension and low cholester ol; and new concepts in medical and surgical therapy for acute intracerebra l hemorrhage.
