Ca. Varotsos et Ky. Kondrat'Ev, Experiment in integrated interpretation of remote sensing data and direct measurements of atmospheric ozone content, EARTH OBS R, 16(4), 2001, pp. 511-526
Based on the example of the analysis of satellite and conventional (ground,
balloon, aircraft) observation data on total ozone and the vertical profil
e of the ozone concentration and using the results of measurements of ultra
violet radiation at various heights in the Athens region (Greece) and in mi
d-latitudes, the need for integrated observations of ozone and associated q
uantities is demonstrated. Attention is drawn to the continuing lack of eve
n a substantiation for an optimal global, ozone observation system.
