Abstract
We studied whether 12-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (HETE) affected the angi otensin IT-induced presser response in rats. After intravenous administrati on of I and 3 mug/kg 12-HETE, the angiotensin II-induced presser response w as not potentiated. However, 10, 20 and 30 min after the administration of 10 mug/kg 12-HETE, the angiotensin II-induced presser responses were increa sed by 7.5, 6.8 and 4.8 mm HE, respectively. The significant presser respon se was observed at 10 and 20 min after the administration. In this study, w e clearly demonstrated that 12-HETE potentiated the angiotensin II-induced presser response.
