Abstract
A simple, specific and rapid nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopic method for the determination of mefenamic acid and paracetamol in pharmace utical preparation is described. Samples are dissolved directly in DMSO-d(6 ) and their spectra are recorded on a Gemini-200 MHz NMR spectrometer instr ument. The results obtained by the proposed method is agreed closely with t hose found by the method of British Pharmacopoeia (BP). No interference due to excipients is also observed.
