Abstract
Partially purified RNA-dependent RNA polymerase activity isolated from Nico tiana benthamicana plants infected with Tobacco necrosis virus strain D (TN V-D) is capable of template-dependent synthesis of Satellite tobacco necros is virus strain C (STNV-C) RN18. This in vitro system will be of great valu e in investigations on both TNV-D and STNV-C RNA replication.
