Formulation and solution of radiative transfer problem in stochastic finite
plane medium composed of two immiscible mixed materials is considered. The
mixing statistics is described as two-state homogeneous Markov process. Po
mraning-Eddington technique is used to obtain an explicit solution of the p
roblem in deterministic case. A weight function, related to Chandrasekhar f
unction, with its special forms is used to get this solution. A developed f
ormalism, to treat radiation transfer in stochastic medium, is used to get
the ensemble-averaged solution of the problem under consideration. Explicit
analytical expressions and numerical results for averaged reflectivity, tr
ansmitivity and scalar flux of the medium in case of Rayleigh scattering of
