Abstract
Formulation and solution of radiative transfer problem in stochastic finite plane medium composed of two immiscible mixed materials is considered. The mixing statistics is described as two-state homogeneous Markov process. Po mraning-Eddington technique is used to obtain an explicit solution of the p roblem in deterministic case. A weight function, related to Chandrasekhar f unction, with its special forms is used to get this solution. A developed f ormalism, to treat radiation transfer in stochastic medium, is used to get the ensemble-averaged solution of the problem under consideration. Explicit analytical expressions and numerical results for averaged reflectivity, tr ansmitivity and scalar flux of the medium in case of Rayleigh scattering of radiation are given.
