The equilibrium between the keto and enol tautomers of acetylacetone,
trifluoroacetylacetone and hexafluoroacetylacetone in the neat liquid
slate and dissolved in supercritical fluid carbon dioxide have been st
udied, as a function of pressure and temperature, by H-1 NMR. This all
ows determination of the thermodynamic parameters, Delta H and AS, for
the keto-enol equilibrium. The observed trends are well correlated wi
th extraction results for this class of compounds.
