Abstract
The equilibrium between the keto and enol tautomers of acetylacetone, trifluoroacetylacetone and hexafluoroacetylacetone in the neat liquid slate and dissolved in supercritical fluid carbon dioxide have been st udied, as a function of pressure and temperature, by H-1 NMR. This all ows determination of the thermodynamic parameters, Delta H and AS, for the keto-enol equilibrium. The observed trends are well correlated wi th extraction results for this class of compounds.
