Abstract
The production of sintered lanthanum hexaboride cathodes and their uti lisation in several electron gun arrangements are presented together w ith operating experiences with the cathodes. The guns are used as inje ctors in electron accelerators and provide beams with current densitie s in the range 1-100 A/cm(2) at 25-75 keV electron energy.
