Abstract
History, clinical signs, laparotomy findings, treatment and course of a sev en year old Simmental cow with intestinal impaction due to blood coagula ar e described. Based on the characteristic alterations of an approximately 20 cm long piec e of jejunum found during laparotomy an intestinal ulcer or intestinal infa rction is discussed as possible cause of the disease.
