Seventeen olive mill wastewater (OMW) samples were characterized, For chara cterization of the samples, amount of total, fixed, volatile, suspended sol ids, COD, oil-grease polyphenol. volatile phenol, nitrogen and reducing sug ar were determined. Effects of lime treatment Un the waste samples were inv estigated.
