R. Holynski et al., Monte Carlo analysis of event-by-event fluctuations in Au plus Au collisions at root s(nn)=19-200 GeV, ACT PHY P B, 32(4), 2001, pp. 1365-1377
We present results on the event-by-event analysis of multiplicity and trans
verse momentum fluctuations for Au + Au collisions at RHIC energies. This a
nalysis is based on Monte Carlo events obtained from HIJING and VENUS gener
ators. The dependence of the results on centrality and energy of the collis
ion as well as on the acceptance cuts is discussed. We found that the resul
ts obtained for the Monte Carlo generated events strongly depend on these p
arameters and disagree with a thermal model predictions. In a wide range of
energies and centralities of the collisions the HIJING model predictions a
re different than those obtained from VENUS simulations.
