Abstract
In the analysis of traditional and nonlinear indexes of heart rate variabil ity, we have found that they are significantly altered among patients with congestive heart failure and appropriate sinus tachycardia. This suggests t hat such findings are not specifically related to congestive heart failure, and can be seen in a wide variety of pathophysiologic disorders characteri zed by neurohumoral activation.
