Abstract
We describe a 62-year-old diabetic man who presented with squamous cell car cinoma on his right thigh amputation stump 52 years after the procedure. Th e potential relationship of the chronic irritation by the artificial leg an d the malignant transformation of the healing scar as well as optimal treat ment options of scar-tissue carcinomas are reviewed.
