Abstract
The photopyroelectric method in the back detection configuration is used wi th a new calibration procedure for the simultaneous determination of therma l parameters. There are two possibilities to make this calibration dependin g on the way we obtain the normalizing signal. Numerical simulations and ex perimental measurements have been performed on reference materials for the two cases. These cases are analysed and the corresponding errors in the det ermination of the thermal diffusivity and thermal effusivity are compared. Temperature-dependant measurements on the thermal diffusivity of reference material are reported.
