Abstract
We investigate the production of photoacoustic waves from a point source in cluding the effects of heat diffusion. Solutions to wave equation for the d isplacement potential are found for an expansion coefficient depending line arly on the temperature. Solutions are found for delta function heating pul ses in time as well as for long laser pulses.
