Abstract
A theoretical and experimental analysis of the fiber-optic modulator that c an use surface acoustic waves for polarization coupling in optical fiber wi th birefringence are presented. Modulation depth of up to 60% have been ach ieved using pulsing operate regime at 12 MHz and suppression of the unwante d sideband more than 18 dB have been observed.
