Abstract
Inflammatory pseudotumor is a tumor-like reactive lesion of unknown etiolog y that rarely affects the heart. We describe an unusual case of a cardiac i nflammatory pseudotumor that involved the aortic valve and caused regurgita tion in a 62-year-old man. The lesion was excised and the aortic valve was replaced, resulting in a favorable outcome for the patient. (C) 2001 by The Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
