Abstract
Polybithiophene (PBTh) films electropolymerized at different current densit ies were used as hole-transport layer in the electroluminescent (EL) device s. It was found that the current density used for depositing PBTh film grea tly affects the surface structure of the film, which determines the effecti veness of the PBTh film as the hole-transport layer used in the EL device o n enhancing EL intensity and efficiency. Evidences show that for a high eff ective EL device there is an optimal current density for depositing the PBT h films as the hole-transport layer. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rig hts reserved.
