Abstract
The steps at 70, 62, and 56 kJ/mol were specified on the dependences of dif ferential heats (Q) over bar (a) of adsorption on the values of adsorption a on the hydroxylated gamma -Al2O3 surface resulted from the interaction of adsorbed water molecules with the surface-coordinated water molecules. aci d and basic hydroxyl groups, respectively; effective charges q were estimat ed for the protons of coordinated water molecules and acid and basic OH gro ups. The hydration numbers were calculated in the region of monolayer cover age For the three aforementioned adsorption sites. The texture changes disc overed in gamma -Al2O3 particles were attributed to the interlamellar swell ing of the secondary sorbent packets formed front its primary particles.
