Abstract
80Gbit/s pulsewidth-maintained wavelength conversion based on a high-nonlin earity DSF-NOLM is realised and penalty-free transmission over 80km convent ional singlemode fibre and 12km dispersion compensating fibre of the conver ted signal is demonstrated for the first time.
