Abstract
A simple, wavelength tunable 40GHz RZ source based on a fibre optical param etric amplifier is demonstrated. By using a 40GHz sinusoidaily intensity mo dulated pump, stable, nearly chirp free. high-power. 2-4 picosecond-wide pu lses are obtained over 37nm, extended into the L-band.
