Abstract
New metalloporphyrinoid complexes functionalized with two pyrrole groups an d bearing two phosphonate residues have been synthesized starting from read ily accessible deuterio-porphyrin derivatives. The functional pyrrole group s allow the formation of metalloporphyrinoid films on electrodes by oxidati ve electropolymerization. On the other hand, the phosphonate functionalitie s could be used to immobilize the metalloporphyrinoids on polycrystalline t itanium dioxide electrodes. Electrodes modified by immobilization of the me talloporphyrinoid complexes have been shown to be useful for electrocatalys is and as electrochemical sensors.
