In the present work, analytical solutions are developed to simulate the tra
nsient hydrodynamics for a non-Darcian fluid how in circular channels parti
ally filled with a porous material. The current investigation considers two
different cases: in the first case, a porous substrate shell is inserted a
djacent to the channel wall, while in the second case, a cylindrical elemen
t of porous material is inserted at the channel center.
