Abstract
An investigation into the effect of Nephrops norvegicus bioturbation on the acoustic indices of RoxAnn (TM) was carried out over three commercial fish ing grounds: the Firth of Forth, Moray Firth and the North Minch. The resul ts obtained in the present study suggest that the relationship between burr ow density and the acoustic output of RoxAnn (TM) is significantly more com plicated than was previously reported. The differences in the findings in t he present study and those previously reported are discussed.
