Abstract
This paper describes a new optical label switching technique; wavelength an d pilot, tone frequency are combined to form labels that are used to contro l transport network routing. This technique is very attractive for achievin g simple nodes that offer extremely rapid forwarding. Experimental results on the discrimination of optical labels and all-optical label conversion ar e also presented.
