Abstract
The first isophthalate (IPT) ligand bridging cadmium two-dimensional networ k coordination polymer, Cd-2 . (IPT)(2) . (C5H5N)(2) (1), was synthesized u sing 1,3-dicyanobenzene. The IPT adopts a mu (5) and mu (6)-bridging mode a nd connects with Cd to form the double-layered square grid structure. (C) 2 001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
