Abstract
Planar chiral "push-pull" derivatives of I,1 ' -diphosphaferrocene were obt ained in the Knoevenagel reaction starting from racemic or optically resolv ed 2-formyl-3,3 ' ,4,4 ' -tetramethyl-1,1 ' -diphosphaferrocene. Their seco nd-order non-linear optical (NLO) properties were studied by powder tests a nd the EFISHG technique at 1.907 mum. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All ri ghts reserved.
