Abstract
We present the results of experimental determination of shapes and dimensio ns of vortex zones which are formed in fluxes near the section slot holes w here the flow boundaries have discontinuities. The measurement results are correlated with the solutions previously obtained by the authors. We sugges t the empirical dependences for practical calculations of shapes and charac teristic dimensions of vortex zones.
