Abstract
The purpose of this research is to address the issues of high field nonline arities in vibration control using APPN (Active-Passive Hybrid Piezoelectri c Network). Experimental effort is carried out to quantify the nonlineariti es in piezoelectric actuation. Based on the sliding mode theory, a robust c ontroller is developed to compensate for the nonlinearities as uncertaintie s in the integrated system. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is dem onstrated by numerical and experimental analyses.
