Abstract
The study of the reactivity of the ligands bis(2-acetylpyridine)thiocarbono hydrazone (H(2)apt), 2-acetylpyridine thiosemicarbazone (Hapts) and 2-acety lpyridine semicarbazone (Haps) towards monoorganotin(IV) compounds was carr ied out; all the new derivatives were spectroscopically (IR, H-1-NMR and Mo ssbauer) characterised. The X-ray crystal structures of [(n-Bu)Sn(Hapt)Cl-2 ]. 5H(2)o, [PhSn(Hapt)Cl-2].C2H5OH .H2O and [PhSn(aps)Cl-2] were reported a nd a comparison was made with the already characterised diorganotin complex es of the same ligands.
