Abstract
A simple theory is developed for studying interactions between electrons an d intense laser fields in semiconductor-based two-dimensional systems. With this approach, the steady-state transport and optical coefficients can be calculated easily for an electron-photon-phonon system. The results can be related to experiments where terahertz free-electron lasers are employed as intense radiation sources.
