We investigate the resonance steps, spatiotemporal dynamics, and dynamical
phase diagrams of tile de-driven diatomic Frenkel-Kontorova model. The comp
lete resonance velocity spectrum is given. The diatomic effects result in e
ach resonant state being: characterized by two integer pairs, (k(1),k(2)) a
nd (k(1),k ' (2)). In the high-velocity region the linear response of the a
verage velocity , nu, of the chain to the driving force F is often punctuat
ed by subharmonic resonances (k(1) > k(2)). There are two kinds of nonlinea
r response regions in the high-velocity region. A new physical interpretati
on of the mean-field treatment is presented.
