The structure, phase composition, and temperature-mediated behavior of
polybutadienes prepared with binuclear metal complex systems immobili
zed on a solid support were studied. It was found that polybutadienes
of nascent structure are a mixture of trans-1,4- and cis-1,4-homopolym
ers, whereas 1,2-units are randomly distributed in macromolecules of t
rans-1,4-polybutadiene. It was shown that, in principle, the nascent t
rans-1,4-polybutadiene exhibits a three-phase structure and contains c
rystalline and amorphous phases and a low-temperature form of the meso
morphic phase component.
