Abstract
The analysis of sixteen Komagataea (Williopsis) pratensis isolates from Cau casian and Tien Shan soils by the PCR, blot hybridization, and isoenzyme el ectrophoresis techniques showed that fifteen of them do belong to the speci es K. pratensis. The isolates from the two geographic areas differed in som e physiological characteristics and in the PCR product profiles obtained wi th the microsatellite primers (CAC)(5) and (GACA)(4).
