Abstract
Electronics readout based on multi-correlated double sampling (multi-CDS) h ave been designed in the past for spectroscopy applications using multi-ele ment semiconductor detectors. This technique can be employed when a synchro nism signal is available. We present a new integrated circuit, based on mul ti-CDS, which can be used also for the detection of random events in absenc e of synchronism signal. A prototype of the circuit has been designed and p roduced. The first results of thr: experimental characterization are presen ted here. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
