Abstract
By exploiting signal-induced birefringence in semiconductor optical amplifi er, noninverted wavelength conversion for 10 Gb/s nonreturn-to-zero data wi th enhanced extinction ratio(> 13 dB) and negative chirp (similar to5 GHz) was obtained. Zero power penalty transmission over 110 km standard single m ode fiber without any dispersion compensation after conversion was achieved . (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
