Abstract
Considering Bohr's correspondence principle and energy conservation laws, w e derive by means of some elementary classical considerations of electron m otion in a laser field an expression for the width of the laser-stimulated x-ray spectrum in electron-ion recombination and we find a classical expres sion for the power distribution of x-ray radiation, both of which agree sur prisingly well with the results of the corresponding quantum-mechanical cal culations presented earlier.
