Abstract
Using the Caldirola-Kanai formalism. we study the statistical properties of damped quantum particles driven by an arbitrary stationary noise. We devel op a new method to solve the corresponding time-dependent Schrodinger equat ion and derive exact expressions for the dispersion of the particle coordin ate and the particle velocity. These expressions are used to investigate in detail the phenomena of anomalous diffusion, stochastic localization, and stochastic acceleration. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved .
