Abstract
X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and mechanical tests w ere used to study structural changes in the B2 austenite of the Ti-Ni shape -memory alloys upon heating after a low-temperature thermomechanical treatm ent (LTMT) and their effect on the characteristics of deformation diagrams. Softening processes upon heating after the LTMT with the deformation of ma rtensite develop quicker than those after the LTMT with the deformation of austenite. The characteristics of deformation depend on the structural and phase states of the alloy at the deformation temperature.
