Cost efficient design and construction of major steel composite bridges

Steel composite bridges share a rather small part of the total bridge marke t. Nevertheless, the reduced weight of the steel main girders and the robus tness of concrete slab give rise a variety of structural forms and to inter esting applications of these systems, especially if combined with ingenious construction methods, like launching, lifting, rotation or a combination o f several of these methods.
