Abstract
The problem of anodic dissolution of a plane vertical tungsten electrode in alkaline solutions under conditions of natural convection is solved. Equat ions for the local (height-dependent) and average limiting currents of tung sten dissolution and the distribution of boundary layer thickness over the electrode height are derived.
